As announced yesterday, Dhanush has confirmed the official release date of his much expeted 'Velai Illa Pattadhari 2' at 7 PM today with a 'Raghuvaran coming' teaser.
'VIP 2'directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth will be hitting the screens on August 11, 2017 for the Independence Day weekend. As the I Day falls on a Tuesday, it will be a five day long first weekend for the film and that coupled with the huge expectations is going to result in a Box office storm.
Apart from acting in the lead role, Dhanush has also written the story and dialogue for 'VIP 2' the sequel to his 2014 blockbuster. The film has been produced by Kalaipuli.S.Thanu under his V Creations banner. The sequel will retain the star cast of the first part and it also brings back Kajol to Kollywood after 20 years.
'VIP 2' will be the biggest release of the Independence Day Holiday weekend and it will have to clash with 'Podhuvaga Emmanasu Thangam' of Udhayanidhi Stalin, Director Ram's 'Taramani', C.V.Kumar's directorial debut 'Maayavan' which have officially confirmed their release plans so far. A few other films are also trying their best to cash in on the long holiday weekend.
