‘Das Ka Dhamki’: ‘O Dollar Pillagaa’ is enjoyable for Vishwak Sen, Mangli

Singer Mangli has been continuously in the news. After singing ‘Ooru Palleturu’ in ‘Balagam’ and ‘Krishna Tatvam’ in ‘Ari’ recently, she is in the news for energetically crooning ‘O Dollar Pillagaa’ in ‘Das Ka Dhamki’. Unlike the other two songs, this song is a pub number that feels like a version of ‘Cheli Chamaku’ from Venkatesh’s ‘Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule’ in terms of conception.

Shot on the in-fom Vishwak Sen and others, the Leon James composition has got dazzling cinematography by George C Williams. Sathish Krishnan’s choreography is apt. The razzmatazz is fun! 

Starring Nivetha Pethuraj as the heroine, the film has Rao Ramesh in a key role. The likes of Ajay, Tarun Bhascker, Shaurya, Rati Hulji, Akshara Goud, Mahesh, Rohini, Prudhvi Raj, Kadambari Kiran, Rajini and Amith Sharma are part of the cast. Prasanna Kumar Bezawada’s dialogues are touted to be a highlight. He has also written the film’s story. 

The buzz is that the entertainer will hit the screens on March 22. Official confirmation is awaited.
