Damodara’s ‘Kanyakumari’ to be a rustic romance

‘Kanyakumari’ is the title of the up-and-coming movie of second-time director Damodara. For the unversed, he was the newbie who helmed ‘Pushpaka Vimanam’, which starred Anand Deverakonda in the lead. The film was released in 2021. About 1.5 years later, the young filmmaker is back in business. This time, he is not only a director but also a producer. 

“I am making a rural romantic entertainer this time. ‘Kanyakumari’ is going to feature crowd-pleasing performances by Sricharan Rachakonda and Geeth Saini,” the talented director says.

Produced by Radical Pictures, the film’s story unfolds in realistic locations in a Srikakulam village. Touted to be rustic, sensible and content-driven, the film marks the coming together of music director Sahitya Sagar, cinematographer Siva Gajula, editor Naresh Adupa and others. 

The film, whose release date is yet to be announced, appears to be a cool breeze this Summer. The performances by relatively fresh faces are going to be natural, going by what we know of the project so far.
