The official updates on the COVID 19 situation is continuing to be scary as Tamil Nadu has recorded another single day highest number of 874 new cases. Chennai as usual has contributed a high percentage with 618 patients affected. The state now has 20,246 coronavirus cases with 13362 of them in the capital city. 9 persons have lost their lives in the past twenty four hours raising the death toll to 154.
On the positive side 765 patients discharged.today taking up the total number of recoveries to 11,313. Today 10569 test were conducted out of 445194 done so far. Another worrying factor is that 1159 children under the age of 12 have been infected.
