Telangana IT minister KT Rama Rao has opined that the Covid-19 pandemic has got a silver lining as far as Telangana is concerned. Textile and electronics manufacturing and life sciences industries are three areas where he sees Telangana as having an edge. “We are poised well in these areas,” KTR has told Livemint.
“If electronics and textile companies move away from China in the coming months, the Telangana government could work internally to draw potential investors to the state,” he added in the interview.
On Tuesday, the Minister offered his view that the Covid “adversity presents great opportunities” and that India has the “capacity to quickly develop tech solutions for the post-Covid world.” Taking to Twitter, he said, “We should push the Electronics manufacturing sector aggressively.”
