The Telugu film industry may have seen its first case of novel coronavirus positive. An artist, who has played supporting roles in a number of films, is reportedly suffering from COVID-related symptoms.
“Earlier this month, the artist returned to Hyderabad from a shooting schedule in Bangkok. Ever since the return, he started suffering from fever and cough. He bought medicines from over-the-counter shops and refused to test for COVID-19. He went to Guntur’s Piduguralla to live with his family even as the symptoms persisted. His family members noticed that he continued to suffer from fever and cough. They called up General Hospital authorities and made him undergo tests. It’s learned that the artist has been isolated even as results are awaited. Contact-tracing is on,” a media report says.
The name of the artist has been kept under wraps.
