A court notice has been slapped against Nandamuri Balakrishna and the producers of 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' for not passing on the benefit of Entertainment Tax exemption given to the film by the Governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The notice has cited a judicial precedent set by a Tamil Nadu court, which had said that the benefit has to be transmitted in the form of lower ticket prices to the final consumer. The makers have to be file a counter-petition in two weeks' time.
The same has been issued against the makers for 'Rudrama Devi' as well.
The notices come in the wake of a Public Interest Litigation filed by a citizen.
