In an unfortunate turn of events, India has entered the list of 10 worst-hit countries earlier today, after recording the biggest single-day spike in Coronavirus cases for the fourth consecutive day. India had recorded 6,977 Coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours
With India’s tally currently at 1,38,845 and the death toll at 4,021 the country has reached the 10th spot on the list of worst-hit countries below Turkey. As of now, the United States is the worst-hit country in the world, and is followed by Brazil. On the other hand, China, which was the origin of Coronavirus is currently at 14th spot.
As reported by the union health ministry, 154 deaths were reported in 24 hours till 8 am today. Currently India has 77,103 active Coronavirus cases and 57,720 people have recovered and one patient has migrated. Among 4,021 deaths, Maharashtra leads with 1,635 deaths followed by Gujarat with 858 deaths. Tamil Nadu has recorded 111 deaths so far.
