Coronavirus threat – Cognizant closes down office

The coronavirus that has claimed more than five thousand lives and affected close to two lakhs people in China and other parts of the world has also infected around 31 people in India.  IT major Cognizant has shut down its offices in Raheja Mindspace in Hyderabad and has asked its employees to work from home until further notice.

In a mail sent to employees CTS has stated “An employee of a company with offices in Building 20 of Raheja Mindspace in Hyderabad has tested positive for COVID-19. As a matter of abundant caution, we are closing our office in Building 20, Raheja Mindspace for disinfection and sanitisation,”.  The company has also confirmed that none of its employees has contracted the virus.
