Former Pakistan cricketer passes away due to Corona!

Former Pakistan first-class cricketer Zafar Sarfraz who had tested positive for Coronavirus has passed away. For the past 3 days, the 50-year old cricketer was on ventilator support in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Peshawar.

Sarfraz was left-hand middle-order batsman and had made his debut in 1988. He has scored 616 runs from 15 first-class games playing for Peshawar and 96 runs from six one-day games. Sarfaraz retired in 1994 and later became a coach of senior and the Under-19 Peshawar teams.

Zafar Sarfaraz was one of the popular first class cricketers of Pakistan and his brother is Pakistan international player Akhtar Sarfraz, who played ODIs, scoring 66 runs in four innings. Akhtar Sarfaraz passed away due to colon cancer before 10 months.
