‘Coolie’ Opens Strong in Nizam, Eyes Extended Weekend Boost

Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest big-screen outing, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has finally hit theaters amid massive hype. One of the film’s biggest surprises is the casting of Akkineni Nagarjuna as the antagonist, adding a fresh twist to the superstar’s action drama.

In the Nizam region, Coolie posted a solid Day 1 performance, earning around Rs.4.15 crore share (excluding GST). While slightly lower than War 2’s opening of Rs.4.25 crore in the same territory, industry analysts believe the upcoming extended weekend could give Coolie the momentum to catch up and potentially surge ahead.

Globally, the film is projected to collect around Rs.150 crore, though fans await an official box office update from the makers, Sun Pictures.

The ensemble cast also includes Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Aamir Khan, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

With Rajinikanth’s mass appeal, Nagarjuna’s villainy, and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s stylish direction, all eyes are on how Coolie performs over the festive weekend.
