AP Film Producers’ Council has recommended the Telugu film ‘Mithunam’ for the Oscar entry for the foreign language category and also the IFFI ‘Indian Film Festival of India’ to be held in November in Goa. The AP Film Chamber Of Commerce, in separate letters to the producers of the film AMR Productions have informed that the Film Federation of India, Mumbai has referred the AP Film Producers’ council’s recommendation of the film for the Oscar and on reference from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India, the film has been recommended by the APFPC to the ‘Indian Panorama’ in the IFFI.
Mithunam is directed by ace writer and actor Tanikella Bharani, produced by Anand Muyida Rao, featuring SP Balasubrahmanyam and Lakshmi has won great critical acclaim and awards. It?s based on a novel of the same name by writer Sri Ramana.
