In a country obsessed by film stars and the aura around, news like this may be rare but not strange. In a display of Indian hospitality, 2 Air India pilots forgot the norms and allowed the south Indian actress Nithya Menon to travel in cockpit mid-flight and hence were de-rostered.
According to reports, the pilot-in-command and co-pilot have been de-rostered for compromising with the safety of passengers aboard the flight. The actress was allowed to sit on the observer’s seat, which is reserved for examiners authorised only by aviation regulator DGCA.
