Multi-Starrer Remake to Solo Lead ‘Balupu’

‘Initially, we were planning to remake the 90’s superhit comedy ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ with Venkatesh and Raviteja’ said Gopichand Malineni, the director riding on the success of ‘Balupu’.

The director shared how he had to shift from a multi-starrer remake to Ravi’s ‘Balupu’. ‘ We were all set with the script for the remake but Venky was busy with Shadow, So, I thought of doing one with a solo with Ravi Teja. That’s when writer Bobby came up with the brilliant script ‘Balupu’. I loved it so much that I okayed in a single sitting and narrated it to Ravi and the connect was instant even from his end. So, we proceeded with the production. PVP backed me for my change in stance and I thank them for the same.

‘balupu’ is Gopichand?s third movie and second with Raviteja and both of them are superhits. The director said there are two projects in the pipeline and will disclose the details soon.
