It is not for nothing that Nayanatara has opted to make a comeback with Krishnam Vande Jagatguru. Playing the role of Devika, she is the driving force and though doesn’t carry the movie on her shoulders, she causes the story to move. Does it remind you of Janaki (Kamalinee Mukherjee) of Gamyam and Saroja (Anushka) of Vedam?
Director Krish intends to juxtapose Devaki, who hails from a class background, and B.Tech Babu (played by Daggubati Rana), a mass man. KVJ, in the words of the award-winning director sees Nayan playing a documentary filmmaker.
“Heroines in my films always have importance. Janaki and Saroja lead the story from the front. Devaki is such kind of character. What transpires between Devaki and Babu forms the crux of the film,” he avers.
The film is being music-directed by Mani Sharma.
