Rarely do we see an actor making it the second time if his/her first film is a washout. This is especially true of female debutantes with no filmi background. With Pilla Jamindaru in Telugu and Muran in Tamil becoming good BO grossers, Hari Priya has achieved this feat in two languages simultaneously.
The actress’ performance in Rajjan Madhav’s Muran received critical acclaim. She played Lavanya and her role opposite Cheran was one of the high points of the film. If Muran bailing her out was not surprising, owing to the fact that it had talented names associated with it, Pilla Jamindaru working wonders for her is a bit surprising.
The Nani film was never a contender. A surprise BO performer, the film has resuscitated the career of Hari Priya, which sagged ever since Thakita Thakita, her first film, which was produced by Bhumika Chawla, flopped.
News is that she is receiving one too many offers in both the languages. Watch this space for more!
