Kajal, who was supposed to play the female lead in both the Telugu and Hindi versions of ‘The Businessman’ to be directed by Puri Jagannath, was removed from the Hindi version.

However, she would pair up with Maheshbabu in the Telugu version. Director Puri Jagannath himself confirmed this information to the media. As per the latest information, Puri is searching for a new face to pair up with Abhishek Bachchan.

However, Kajal is making her debut into the Bollywood through Singam by pairing up with Ajay Devgan and she had already become a known face and Puri wants a fresh face for the role.

Both the versions are not being shot simultaneously but the Telugu version is most likely to begin in September.
