Navdeep Caught For Drunken Drive!

Being the charming and lovable hero in Tollywood, new generation hero Navdeep was caught drunk while driving at Hyderbad. In a real life drama that could remind a scene from a typical Telugu film, Navdeep and his friend were chased on the streets of Hyderabad by the police on late Saturday night and were later arrested on charges of drunken and rash driving.

With a good boy image in most movies Navdeep, was produced before a magistrate on Sunday afternoon and later granted bail. According to police, they were conducting a special drive on the Sagar Society-KBR Park Road when, a little after 1 am, a car came speeding and refused to stop when signalled to do so. ?As the car reached the check-post at the Indo-American Cancer hospital, we managed to intercept it. However, the driver ran over the leg of a constable. He was finally forced to stop at the Kalinga hall,? the police said.

The driver turned out to be Navdeep. He and his friend were brought to Banjara Hills police station and then shifted to Gandhi Hospital for medical examination. Police claimed that he behaved in a rude manner while being shifted to Gandhi Hospital in an auto rickshaw. Cases under Sections 279 (rash driving), 332 (causing hurt) and 353 (assault) of IPC read with 185 of Motor Vehicle Act were booked against the two.
