Kamal’s DTH plans sees further opposition

Kamal Haasan is planning to release his upcoming movie Vishwaroopam directly to DTH providers along with a theatrical release. The actor spoken in defence of his move though his SoundCloud channel, and his decision was accepted by the Tamil Producers Council. But now, it appears that a different organization has decided to oppose his decisions.

The Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association (TNTOA), headed by Mr.Annamalai, convened in Madurai yesterday and came to a decision that they will not be co-operating with the Vishwaroopam release or any other film in the future which has plans to release to DTH. This puts another question mark over Kamal’s plans which have stated a DTH premiere on the 10th of December with a theatrical release following on the 11th. We will have to wait and see how things proceed further now.
