Jackie Shroff in ‘Kochadaiyaan’

‘Kochadaiyaan’ is sure living up to a claim by its makers- that it would be a multilingual-multi-starrer. The immediate project of Superstar Rajinikanth has got one more value addition, in the form of Bollywood big gun Jackie Shroff.

The actor, who was last seen in Kollywood playing a crucial role in the critically acclaimed ‘Aaranya Kaandam’, will be doing an important character in ‘Kochadaiyaan’. Director Soundarya Ashwin, the younger daughter of Rajini, has confirmed this.

Buzz is that AR Rahman and Vairamuthu recently had a sitting to finalize tunes and lyrics for this mega budget venture. “The star cast confirmed so far in Kochadaiyaan are Sarath Kumar, Aadhi, Nasar, Shobana and now Jackie Shroff,” she said.

It is expected that the shooting for ‘Kochadaiyaan’ would start by the middle of this month. “Grand sets are being erected at a couple of places in Chennai to shoot this period film, which would have Rajini in a different avatar,” sources say.
