Director Prabhu Solomon is happy with the way his forthcoming film ‘Kumki’ is taking shape. His happiness is double that he is launching the legendary Sivaji Ganesan’s grandson Vikram Prabhu in this movie, as the protagonist.
“Kumki is a love story between Bomman (played by Vikram Prabhu), a caretaker of elephants and Alli (played by Mollywood actress Lakshmi Menon), a tribal girl. Vikram Prabhu did enough homework to fit himself to the role,” says the ‘Mynaa’ maker.
“Besides shedding light on love and life in the forest, the film will have enough importance for comedy. It’s going to be a very good entertainer and we are planning to wind up the shooting as soon as possible,” Solomon adds.
Answering a popular question, why his last two films are set in the backdrop of jungle, the director of ‘King’, ‘Lee’ and ‘Laadam’ says, “I got the spark for Kumki when I was shooting for Mynaa. There are no other specific intentions.”
