Vikram, Vijay to team up again…

Looks like spy films have become the fad of the day in Tamil cinema. With Kamal Haasan’s ‘Viswaroopam’ seeing rapid progress at the pre-production stage, another film is to join this league.

The success duo of ‘Deiva Thirumagal’, that is to say, Chiyaan Vikram and AL Vijay are to get on board together for another project, once Vikram finishes work on ‘Rajapattai’ with Suseendran. This movie will be based on the American spy film series, ‘The Bourne Identity’, which has seen three releases so far and is readying for a fourth release on 2012.

It is said that ‘Madraspattinam’ fame Amy Jackson will play the female lead in this film, and she will don the role of a foreign agent. The film will have the usual AL Vijay team including Nirav Shah, Antony and GV Prakash.

The film will be shot in a period of six months and at some never-seen-before sort of foreign locales. Not just that, the movie will be produced by UTV again! This action-packed thriller will go on floors by the end of this year and will be a 2012 summer release.

Vikram, while speaking to the media and fans said he would definitely do more than a project each year from now on. With ‘Rajapattai’ to kick-start and another project by the end of this year, looks like Chiyaan fans will only be more than pleased with their matinee idol keeping up his word to them…
