More interesting details are coming out on the high profile launch function of the housing scheme for the film fraternity, which is scheduled at Paiyanur on the outskirts of Chennai on August 22.
According to Tamil Film Producers Council Rama Narayanan, Superstar Rajinikanth, Bollywood big gun Jitendra, Telugu top star Venkatesh and Malayalam mega star Mammooty among others will attend the function, in which Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will lay the foundation.
The Chief Minister will also deliver a special address at the launch function of ?Kalaignar Nagaram?, which will also be attended by veterans like K Balachander, Dasari Narayana Rao and AVM Saravanan.
The event will also see the participation of Union Minister S Jagathrakshakan, Tamil Nadu Information Minister Parithi Ilamvazhuthi and other senior Ministers and top officials from the State government.
?The land is a gift given by the Chief Minister to the film industry. This shows the love and affection he has for us. We are indebted to him a lot. Arrangements for the function are being made by various committees of the industry,? Rama Narayanan informed.
