Ajith picks Venkat Prabhu

Finally sources say that he has decided on it. There was a big competition and confusion in choosing the director of Ajith?s next project as it is his 50th film.

A source in the know has confirmed that the actor and the director had made a private meeting recently and everything regarding the project is shaping-up well. The film will be an action comedy, with all elements to entertain his die-hard fans of Thala, they say.

It?s noteworthy that many directors were vying to direct the Ultimate star and now Venkat Prabhu has got the golden ticket. If sources are to be believed, the film will be produced by Dayanidhi Alagiri under Cloud Nine Productions.

At the same time, it is also said Producer T Siva of Amma Creations, who had produced ‘Saroja’, had already given a token advance to Venkat Prabhu to make a film for him.

So, birdies say either Dayanidhi Alagiri or Siva has to come forward to walk out of the project to give it a final shape.

We hear that the movie will start rolling soon after Ajith?s ?Asal? and Venkat Prabhu?s ?Goa? are released. But nothing has so far been confirmed from the makers of the film yet and they are expected to be tight-lipped until at least ?Asal? is released.
