Shriya regaining her position

The hot girl of South India seems to be on a roll after a temporary set back. Post ?Sivaji? the glam gal was set to reach new heights and the film ?Azhagiya Thamizh Magan? with Vijay just confirmed her growth as a star. Then she got another prime offer to act in ?Kanthaswamy? opposite Vikram. She was considered as next big thing in the field.

Everything was changed when Shriya got into the controversy over her appearance in an item number in Vadivelu starrer ?Indiralogathil Naa Azhagappan?. She was said to have appeared in the song defying objections from some big weights in the field. It is strongly rumoured that she lost the chance to act with Ajith in ?Aegan? just because of her defiance.

The situation, however, is changing for better. Recently she has been signed up for a project featuring Dhanush in the lead, produced by Gemini lab. Then she got an offer from Krishna Vamsi, husband of Ramya Krishnan, to don the role of a rebellious girl. She has also been roped in a project directed by Deepa Mehtha.

The girl, it seems has regained her magical touch.
