A quiet b’day for Vijay

Actor Vijay, who celebrates his birthday today (22 June), chose to mark the occasion with a simple function, giving financial assistance to the needy and poor students besides conducting free marriage to 10 couples.


Vijay through his fan’s association donated five lakh notebooks to poor and needy students of the Corporation Schools in Chennai besides conducting wedding for 10 couples.


At a function organized by him at his JS Marriage Hall, he urged his fans to work for the society.


A poor student of a Corporation School in Nungambakkam, Chennai, who emerged topper in the higher secondary school examinations was adopted by the actor, who assured to take care of his educational expenses on the occasion.
