It was director Ramana who put a break to Vijay’s string of failures by coming up with a hit in Thirumalai.
Until then, almost half-a-dozen movies of the actor had bombed one after another at the box office.
Thirumalai’s success provided a fresh lease of life for Vijay.
But for director Ramana a huge debacle in his next – Sullan starring Dhanush, resulted in him going offer-less.
Now Vijay, as a token of gratitude, has decided to have Ramana as the director for his next movie. The film, a remake of Telugu hit Athanukodae, is to be produced by himself.
The movie will go to floors once Vijay completes his Sivakasi.
