Superstar Rajinikanth went to Coimbatore on Thursday morning, met spiritual guru Swami Dayananda Saraswati, sought his blessings, and returned Chennai in the evening.
The visit of the top star was kept in extremely low profile and the Coimbatore media came to know about it only after one of the journalists spotted him in the airport. Speaking to reporters, Rajini said, "it is a personal visit. I have come here to meet swami Dayananda Saraswati."
As soon as landing in Coimbatore, Rajini went straight to the ashram in Anaikatti. He offered prayers at the Vinayaka, Muruga and Dakshinamoorthy temples there. He had lunch with the Swamiji, discussed spiritual things with him and also performed Dhyana, before leaving for Chennai.
