“People were threatened against working with me”- Vadivelu

Actor Vadivelu?s comeback film after a brief hiatus Jagajjala Pujabala Thenaliraman had its audio release yesterday. Speaking at the event Vadivelu was at his comical best and kept the audience including the presspersons at splits.

He started of asking “I know you want to ask me “idhellaam unakku thevaiyaa?” (Did you need all these?). But I did not do them on my wish”. Referring to his political entry, he said, “What I did in politics is not different from what I did in cinema. I was only doing comedy” after telling this he added, “even today many are doing the same in politics”.

Speaking about the film Vadively said,  “many threatened AGS Aghoram not against producing a film with Vadivelu in the lead. But Aghoram did not pay attention to those warnings and gave this film. I should immensely thank him for that”.

Vadively recalled how many heroines were threatened not to work with him. “Even the new faces from other states fled back after receiving threatening SMSes.  But Hindi actress Meenakshi Dixit gave a scatn regard for such threats and boldly accepted to star in Thenaliraman. Nevertheless I was afraid that she might walk out of the film anytime. Hence I did not reveal my real identity in the shooting spot. Every time I was with her I made sure I am with makeup. Only now, she has got to see my real face”.

Vadivelu acts in dual role in this flick directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan. He ended his speech stating that hereafter he will be concentrating more in films and he is ready to act as a hero as well as comedian.
