Another cop story for Karthi?

Last week Indiaglitz reported that hit film director Vishnuvardhan and actor Karthi are going to team up for a new film and the Arrambam director is in the process of finalising the script. We had also reported that Tamanna will be pairing up with Karthi in this proposed film after super hit films like Paiiya and Siruthai.

Now we hear from sources that the actor-director duo is planning the remake of Moondru Mugam, the 1982 super hit film in which superstar Rajnikanth donned a triple role. The film?s central character was named as Alex Pandian, a bold and straight forward police officer and it was remembered as one of the best roles ever played by Rajnikanth in his career. Incidentally Karthi has acted in a film titled Alex Pandian but it did not have any other connection with the Rajnikanth starrer.  However Karthi has acted as an upright Police officer in the film Siruthai
