Congress supporters thank Rahul as Centre approves multiple vaccines

Earlier today, the Centre took a decision to grant emergency approval for restricted use for all vaccine candidates that have been approved by USFDA, EMA, and WHO, among others. The vaccines will be granted emergency use approval in India. The decision comes a day after the Russian Sputnik V vaccine received emergency use approval from Indian authorities. Dr. Reddy's has a deal to produce 200 million units of the vaccine.

Amidst the developments, a section of Congress supporters are crediting Rahul Gandhi. Their argument is that these approvals have been demanded by the Congress leader. The former Congress President, for example, had suggested that more and more vaccine candidates, such as Pfizer and Moderna, need to be approved and used for the inoculation of Indians.

However, several Netizens, many of whom are Modi supporters, are laughing at the suggestion that the NDA government has approved them only because RaGa had given them the idea. Most of the foreign vaccines had been waiting to be approved because the Centre wants bridge trials to see whether they are safe for the Indian population.

Many are arguing that Maharashtra, which is the hardest-hit state in terms of caseload, is ruled by RaGa's party in coalition with Shiv Sena and NCP. "Why not give his piece of mind to Uddhav Thackeray and save the State if Rahul is that intelligent?", critics are questioning.
