No Congress party spokesperson will be seen on TV debates for the next one month. It’s because the party high command has barred its members from representing it on TV channels in the wake of what has happened to the party at the hustings.
“Indian National Congress has decided to not send spokespersons on television debates for a month. All media channels/editors are requested to not place Congress representatives on their shows,” Randeep Surjewala today tweeted out.
Perhaps, there is a secret plan to overhaul the spokesperson system within the party. Some of its national spokespersons have faced the criticism that they don’t come prepared for TV debates. The party needs some fresh faces who are knowledgeable.
