Kollywood woke up to the shocking news that popular comedian Krishnamoorthy passed away at 4.30 am this morning in Kumuli where he was shooting for a film. It is said that he suffered a massive heart attack.

Krishnamoorthy started his career as a manager and has worked in hundreds of films before appearing in small roles. His fame came after he started appearing alongside Vadivelu in many memorable laugh out loud scenes including the one in which he would play a normal-looking man who asks the Vaigai puyal the address of Obama.

The best role that Krishnamoorthy got in his career was in Bala's 'Naan Kadavul' in which he portrayed a grey character that attained critical acclaim. He is survived by his wife and two children and we extend our deepest condolences to the family.
