Earlier this week, YCP MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju made an important comment while on a debate on Times Now. He said that Christian Missionaries have been using their money power to convert people on a large scale not just in Andhra Pradesh but also in other parts of the country
A day later, he was once again invited by the channel on The Newshour Agenda, in which journalist Padmaja Joshi asked him to elaborate on the extent of conversions taking place in Andhra Pradesh. The MP, this time, put out the unofficial percentage of the Christian population in the State. "The actual percentage of Christian record in our state is less than 2.5% but in reality, it would be not less than 25%," he told the channel.
"People convert but don't register so as to avail the benefits (like reservation, etc.)," he added.
A few days ago, appearing on the TV channel, the MP said, "Conversions are not happening only now. They happened even during the previous government. With their money power, Christian missionaries have been carrying out conversions like this."
