Chiyaan Vikram is currently filming 'Veera Dheera Sooran,' directed by SU Arunkumar. His magnum opus 'Thangalaan,' directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Studio Green, is gearing up for a grand release this year. Studio Green's CEO, Dhananjeyan, shared release updates of 'Thangalaan' in a recent interview.

Dhananjeyan said, "Thangalaan is planning for a June 2024 release. The official announcement will be made in a few days. The full-fledged promotions are planned to begin from this month end. The schedule for the promotional tour is ready and shared with Chiyaan Vikram. We are going to many cities and overseas to promote the film."

'Thangalaan' features Chiyaan Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltigarone, Pasupathy, Harikrishnan and others. The film revolves around the lives of the native peope of the Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka, set in pre-indepence era. GV Prakash composes the music for the film with DOP by Kishor Kumar and editing by Selva RK.
