Chiyaan Vikram and Trisha Krishnan who mesemerised as lovers and a husband and wife in the blockbuster hit ‘Saamy’ are now equally captivating audiences as siblings in ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. While Vikram plays the hot headed Aditha Karikalan in Mani Ratnam’s epic, Trish is the level headed Kundavai who places the people above the crown.
Vikram and Trisha pariticipated as guests in the popular Kapil Sharma show and the former was asked to sing a song by the host. Vikram sang A. R. Rahman’s “Uyire uyire” from Mani Ratnam’s ‘Bombay’ to perfection and all those present were swayed and started clapping.
Trisha who was sitting next to Vikram enjoyed her costar’s rendition of the popular song with her whole body moving to the rythm. ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is the third time that the pair have collaborated after ‘Saamy’ and ‘Bheema’.
Vikram’s long pending movie ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon is all set to hit the screens worldwide in December this year. He will begin shooting his new movie ‘Maidaanam’ directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by K.E. Gnanavelraja from October 10th onwards in the Kolar Gold Fields.
