Chiranjeevi to do remake with Prabhas’ director: Reports

Last year, it was revealed that the remake rights of the Malayalam action film ‘Lucifer’ are with Konidela Productions (Ram Charan’s banner).  It has been rumoured since then that Chiranjeevi would be acting in the film in a powerful role.  ‘Rangasthalam’ and ‘Pushpa’ director Sukumar has even worked on the script of the remake, reports say.

It’s now emerging that ‘Saaho’ maker Sujeeth will wield the megaphone for the remake.  This will be his third film and first outing with Chiranjeevi.  The ‘Sye Raa’ actor is believed to have loved the way Sujeeth had stylized the narration in ‘Saaho’.  He expects the young director to present him in a never-seen-before fashion.  And Sujeeth’s treatment has rumouredly been endorsed by Chiru.  

‘Lucifer’, starring Mohanlal, arrived in March 2019 and became one of the biggest box-office sensations in Malayalam.  A complex plot involving political big-shots, scamsters and more, it is a perfect superstar vehicle.

It’s not clear when the Telugu remake will go on the floors.  Chiru recently said in an interview that nothing has been finalized regarding his film after Koratala Siva’s ‘Acharya’.
