Chiranjeevi in Prabhas’ Spirit? Here’s the Truth

After the massive success of Animal, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is gearing up for an even bigger project with pan-India star Prabhas in his upcoming film, Spirit. Ever since the makers unveiled the teaser on Prabhas’ birthday, excitement has been sky-high, with fans and film circles buzzing about what promises to be one of the most anticipated Indian films in recent times.

Over the past few days, social media has been abuzz with speculation that Megastar Chiranjeevi would be playing Prabhas’ father in Spirit. However, putting all rumours to rest, Sandeep Reddy Vanga clarified in a recent interaction with the Jigris team that Chiranjeevi is not part of the film in any capacity. His statement has effectively shut down the false reports circulating online.

Interestingly, when asked about the rumour that South Korean actor Don Lee (of Train to Busan fame) might be playing the main antagonist, Sandeep neither confirmed nor denied the news. His silence has only intensified curiosity, with fans now speculating that Don Lee could indeed be on board for the film.

According to reports, Spirit is set to go on floors in February 2026, with the pooja ceremony expected later this month. The film is being produced on a grand scale by Bhadrakali Pictures in association with T-Series, and it will be released in multiple foreign languages, marking one of Prabhas’ most ambitious global projects yet.

Actress Triptii Dimri, who shot to fame with her powerful performance in Animal, has been cast as Prabhas’ love interest in Spirit. The rest of the cast will be revealed soon.

The music for this massive pan-India project will be composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar, promising yet another power-packed soundtrack from the Animal team.
