A day after he called on AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy to represent the interests of the Telugu film industry, Chiranjeevi on Friday condemned the speculations that he met the CM to seek an entry into Rajya Sabha. Chiru said that he won’t be re-entering politics or legislature. He asked the media to give news, not views.
“For the betterment of the Telugu film industry, for the survival of the theaters, I met the CM. Some media houses are broadcasting the baseless news that I would be sent to the Rajya Sabha. This is misleading and baseless,” the ‘Acharya’ actor tweeted.
He added that he is going to stay away from politics. “I will never come back to politics and the legislature. Please do not broadcast speculation as news. I want to put a full stop to this news and discussions for now,” the ‘Bholaa Shankar’ actor added.
Soon after his tweet, Vijay Deverakonda supported Chiru and said that views and news shouldn’t be mixed.
