Chiranjeevi Celebrates 50 Glorious Years in Cinema with a Nostalgic Throwback

Legendary actor Chiranjeevi recently celebrated a monumental milestone, marking 50 years in the film industry. The iconic star, whose influence on Telugu cinema has spanned decades, shared a heartwarming throwback photo from his college days on social media, sparking admiration and nostalgia among his vast fanbase.

In the black-and-white photo, a young Chiranjeevi sports classic sunglasses and a light mustache, capturing a moment from his early acting journey. In his post, he fondly recalled his first drama role, “Raajeenaama,” a production based on *Rangasthalam* by writer Kona Govinda Rao, staged during his college years at Y.N.M. College in Narsapur. He wrote in Telugu, which loosely translates to: “Resignation…My first drama on *Rangasthalam,* written by Kona Govinda Rao, and my first recognition as an actor. Winning Best Actor was a boundless encouragement. From 1974 to 2024, 50 years in acting—a joy beyond measure!”

The post drew an outpouring of support from fans, who reminisced alongside the actor. Comments poured in, with fans proudly noting their shared connections to Chiranjeevi’s college. One admirer commented, “Boss was also a student of our Y.N. College!” Another added, “He’s one of us—our gem of a student!”

Earlier this year, Chiranjeevi was honored with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, celebrating his contributions to Indian cinema.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi is gearing up for his highly anticipated socio-fantasy film *Vishwambhara,* where he takes on the role of a savior in a dystopian world. The recently released teaser has created immense buzz, showcasing his character in a powerful avatar. Initially slated for a January 10, 2025 release, *Vishwambhara* may shift to a later date, with his son Ram Charan’s *Game Changer* occupying the coveted Sankranti slot.

Chiranjeevi’s legacy, from his early days to his current status as a cinematic icon, continues to inspire, making this milestone all the more meaningful for fans and the industry alike.
