Earlier on Thursday, Nandamuri Balakrishna said that he was not invited to the recent film industry meeting with the government to discuss the reopening of the industry. He indirectly suggested that Chiranjeevi & Co haven’t kept him informed.
His remarks have expectedly become controversial. When Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi are involved, can their fans remain quiet? Of course, no!
By afternoon, many on Twitter and Facebook started debating the issue with much noise. Balayya’s fans are busy trolling the “Chiranjeevi camp”. On the other hand, Megastar’s fans are saying that the MLA of Hindupur has received just desserts. “In 2016, when the TDP government of Andhra Pradesh organized Lepakshi Utsavalu, Balakrishna said that he didn’t invite Chiranjeevi because he doesn’t need to. How can he now expect Megastar to invite him to the film industry meeting?” a fan asked on a social media site.
“I have not invited Chiranjeevi to the event. Nenu evarini netthi meeda pettukonu!” Balayya commented back in 2016. “I have with me those who add glamour. It’s my wish to invite or not to invite someone. Many types of people would be ready to come if invited. But, this is my way of working, Dictator-style,” Balayya said back then.
To this, several Balayya fans retorted, “He donated Rs 25 lakh to the film industry in the wake of the lockdown. Shouldn’t he have been invited for this reason at least?”
