A few months back when the Me Too movement became very active in India, Chinmayi became the first Kollywood celebrity to make sexual misconduct allegations against veteran lyricist Vairamuthu.  The national award winning poet denied the allegations and stated that he is ready to face any legal action in this regards.

Chinmayi has now shared a video in which producer K. Rajan is seen making threats without naming her that it is wrong on her part to tarnish the image of Vairamuthu who took years of hard work to build his reputation.  He goes on to warn her that fifty women from his area are enough to teach her a lesson.  He further goes overboard by stating that if Chinmayi continues to shred the image of Vairamuthu he has people who would shred her too.

Chinmayi has languished that with such people heading the cinema industry she will never get justice and that no ICC would be formed to investigate the allegations.
