Shocking! Chennai polytechnic student shot dead while playing video game

In a shocking incident, a polytechnic third-year student Mukesh in Chennai was shot in the head at point-blank range and he succumbed later after moving to one hospital after another.  Mukesh’s parents had gone out in the morning and his friends Vijay and Udaya visited and there were playing video games when the gun shot was heard and the neighbours rushed in to find the boy’s forehead bleeding.  They first rushed him to a private hospital near their house in Tambaram and later to the Chrompet government hospital.  The doctors there advised that the boy be shifted to the Rajiv Gandhi Multi Speciality Hospital in Paris but died on the way there.

In the initial police investigation, it is suspected that the boys had an argument while playing video games and Vijay who used the gun is absconding and a search for him is on while Udaya is interrogated in custody.  There is another angle that it was a premeditated murder as a gun has been carried to Mukesh’s house.
