Director Sakthi Chidambaram had returned to direction 9 years after his last release Guru Sishyan, with last week's release Charlie Chaplin 2, the second part of his 2002 hit comedy entertainer, starring Prabhu, Prabhudeva, Abirami, Monal and Gayathri Raghuram in lead roles.

The second installment had Nikki Galrani and Adah Sharma besides Prabhu and Prabhudeva, and had opened to mixed reviews. Today, director Sakthi Chidambaram has filed a complaint at the police commissioner's office against popular Youtube reviewer Maran, known as Blue Sattai in his Tamiltalkies Channel.

The director has alleged that, Maran had demanded team Charlie Chaplin to pay money for favorable review, and as it was known that it has been his strategy to demand money to makers of late by blackmailing that he will post negative reviews, the team had refused to pay heed to his demands. Following this, Maran has posted a negative review in a derogatory manner, with abusive words, and this review has resulted in mental stress as well as losses for distributors and exhibitors, and action must be taken against Maran, demanded Sakthi Chidambaram, in his plea.
