Actress Suvarna Mathews is best known to Tamil audiences for her hilarious role as Vadivelu’s wife Swarna in the huge blockbuster hit movie ‘Chandramukhi’ starring Superstar Rajinikanth and Jyotika in the lead roles. In the film Rajini would flirt with her irking Vadivelu to no end and their scenes together are still popular with fans.
Suvarna Mathews made her movie debut in 1991 in Mohan Lal’s ‘Uncle Bun’ and in Tamil as the heroine in ‘Thaai Manasu’ that had ‘Bigg Boss’ Saravanan as the hero. She later went on to star in over 80 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
Suvarna also starred in several serials and the most popular is her roles in ‘Sathurangam’, ‘Thenmozhiyal’ and ‘Maya Machindra’. It is also worth mentioning that she won the Miss Kerala title in 1992.
Suvarna got married to Varghese Jacob in the year 2003 and moved to Philadelphia in the United States where she is running a successful real estate business.
