Actor and Politician VIjayakanth has sent a tearful adieu to Kalaignar M.Karunanidhi, who passed away last evening in Chennai. The leader of DMDK is currently in the USA and hence he may not be able to pay his last respect to the DMK  patriarch in person. Hence he has sent a video message conveying his grief over Kalaignar's death. 

In yet another proof for his sheer innocence and golden heart, Vijayakanth bursts out in tears while talking about Kalaignar. This has won the hearts of the Tamil people and they youngsters are sharing the video in social media with words of regard of the much loved Captain. 

It must be noted that Kalaignar was the inspiration for Vijayakanth to enter politics. It was the former CM who gave him the moniker 'Puratchi Kalaignar'. Though he was initially close to the DMK and its President, after starting his own party, Vijayakanth  became one of the staunchest critics of the party and its rule. However, such political differences have not affected the personal regard of Vijayakanth for Kalaignar as it was evident in the video. 

In another video Vijayakanth appears with his wife Premalatha Vijayakanth in which the latter conveys her condolence for the death of the nonagenarian.
