Ever since the discovery of a new mutant strain of Coronavirus in Britain, there has been tension and chaos all over the world. So far, this new Coronavirus strain cases have been identified in Britain, Denmark, Gibraltar, Netherlands, Australia and Italy.
In such a scenario, yesterday the Indian government convened a meeting and announced that flights from the United Kingdom will not be allowed till December 31 in India. In Britain, the lockdown relaxations have been removed and people are again under lockdown.
Now in an unexpected turn of events a person who has come to Chennai from Britain via Delhi has tested positive for Coronavirus, announced health secretary Radhakrishnan IAS. Earlier this person was home quarantined and has now been moved to kings research institute. This person's samples have been sent to Pune institute to find if it is a new Coronavirus strain or the usual one, said Radhakrishnan.
