Director Hari has stated that in ‘Saamy’ the main villain character "Perumal Pichai" portrayed by Kota Srinivasa Rao attained cult status and Bobby’s antagonist role in the sequel will be ten times more intelligent and powerful than that. "Saamy 2’ will begin filming in July and has Keerthy Suresh and Trisha as the heroines with Devi Sri Prasad providing the music score.
