Sonu Sood has today announced that an oxygen plant sponsored by him in Andhra Pradesh will be inaugurated by a visually impaired woman. The woman, named Boddu Naga Lakshmi, has been given the honour because she had donated her pension to the Sood Foundation earlier this year.
"Really proud to announce that Boddu Naga Lakshmi, the blind girl who donated her 5-month pension of Rs 15000 to the Sood Foundation will be inaugurating our oxygen plant in Andhra on July 23 at 11:15 am (sic)," the multi-lingual actor wrote on Twitter. His gesture has received accolades from Netizens.
He also said that Goutham Reddy (Minister IT) and Chakradhar Babu will grace the occasion. In May, the 'Arundhati' actor said that he was very happy to announce that the first set of Oxygen Plants will be set up at Kurnool Government Hospital and one at District Hospital, Atmakur, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier in the week, the 'Acharya' actor penned an emotional note on his mother, Saroj Sood, on her birth anniversary. He said, “Happy birthday Maa. I wish I could wish you personally every year with a hug and thank you for the lessons of life that you have taught me."
