“Black Sword Will Leave a Lasting Impact Like Thanos” ? Manchu Manoj on ‘Mirai’

Rocking Star Manchu Manoj is making a grand return to the big screen with Mirai, releasing pan-India on September 12. At the film’s pre-release event in Visakhapatnam, Manoj delivered a heartfelt speech, thanking fans for their unwavering support through his career breaks.

In the film, Manoj plays Black Sword, a powerful character he describes as impactful as Avengers’ Thanos. “Black Sword cannot tolerate injustice. Until he finds the nine sacred books, no one can stop him. If he gets them all, he transforms into Ravanaasura and clashes with Lord Rama,” he revealed, praising director Karthik Ghattamaneni’s mythological research.

The actor also opened up about the challenges of choosing the right comeback project. “There was a lot of pressure because fans kept asking when I’d return. When Karthik narrated Mirai, I immediately knew this was the film that could justify their faith in me,” he said.

Backed by Vishwaprasad garu, Mirai has been mounted on a grand scale without compromises. Manoj has dubbed for the film himself in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, ensuring a true pan-India appeal.

He further praised co-star Teja Sajja, calling him hardworking and dedicated, and expressed hopes that Mirai could grow into a major franchise with sequels. Manoj also extended wishes to other big releases this season, including Pawan Kalyan’s OG and Bellamkonda Sai’s Kishkindhapuri, saying he was happy to see Telugu cinema flourishing with diverse projects.

With its scale, mythological backdrop, and Manoj’s intense comeback role, Mirai is one of the most anticipated releases of this festive season.
